My Friendship day with my Friends in Faridabad

Sunday, August 01, 2010

I met lot of girls in Faridabad but some of them kept an wide impact on me. They are – three kashimiri girls – Nilima, Priya and Rashi.  We used to call them together Mission Kashmir😊😁Mousumi, Neha and Deepti– 3 idiots!😎😎🤩 Last but not the least most important 2 genius – Gunjan and Tapasya.

All of them had different natures but one thing was in common that they all were innocent and clear hearted. There liveliness and fun loving natures taught me to live my life with my present and not with my past. Once again I started to live a carefree life with full of confidence! Great!😎🤩

This is a story about when we all planned our first ‘Friendship day’ together except Gunjan. Mousumi, Deepti and Neha planned first how to enjoy the day. They suggested us to go the Badkal Lake – a tourist spot in Faridabad. Everyone liked their plan. We took permission from the head of our institute Mrs. Jain. Till then everything was going smoothly and all were happy. But our hostel warden was a moody middle aged alone lady. She directly denied to allow us to go for outing on Sunday. Even she didn’t want to obey our Director's word. It seemed as she wanted to spoil our day. After so many arguments she at last allowed us to go out but only for an hour. We went out, but some of us were quite disappointed. Even I too didn’t feel good as warden ma’am told me lot of bad words in front of the girls who were younger than me. Deepti was a fun loving girl – she told me ‘Come on di (elder sister), forget what had happened and enjoy the day. After all its all about friends.’ I liked her words.

Definitely its all about our lives, and we have only the right to decide how to live. Now after so many years have passed, these memories are still in my mind. Rashi you are right, time changes very speedily. But it leaves some footprints of our memories in our mind forever. Something good and something bad. Its all up to us to keep the good things in our mind and wipe out the bad happenings from our memory forever……

After that we usually used to enjoy some of our special days altogether. Thanks my dear friends and sisters to taught me to live my life Bindas!!!!! May God bless you!

Mekurikai - an unsung hero!

Teok , a small town in Jorhat District of Assam. Around 30 years back, it was in process to be a township. It is my parents' home place, where I was born. As my parental villages were in Teok, we usually visited this place on every vacation. Growing up in a concrete city, I found this place peaceful and naturally rich. We travelled by bus to visit my birthplace. The Teok State Transport bus stand was very small that time. State Transport buses stopped here for few minutes only. Here I saw Mekurikai for the first time. I can still visualise his picture in my mind! Mekurikai , the unsung artist! He used to wore a half pant and a shirt, hanging wooden box around his neck. He sang TOKARIGEET  (type of sufi song in Assamese Folk) and collected money from his listeners. Every morning he used to come to Teok State Transport Bus Stand. Whole day he got into the buses while they stopped, sang his TOKARIGEET  in his mild and beautiful voice with feelings, collected ...

STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!

Stop!!! Violence against women is a worldwide problem that affects women of all ages, ethnicities, races, nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. Some forms of violence are gender-based and impact women more disproportionately, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, human trafficking, child abusement and acid attack. Beside these, Indian society is facing two more major violences against women Girl child foeticide and dowry demands.  It is very shameful to say that this society is not safe for females even in this 21st century. Somewhere, little young girls are molested by some sick minded people; somewhere 80 years old lady has to be treated very badly; somewhere if a girl wants to protest against eve teasing she has to be a victim of acid attack. It is seen that some people being upset on the birth of a girl child in thei5r family and the same people look for little young girls to worship on the days of NAVRATRAs. Girl child foeticide, ...

My Motherhood!

Still I can feel the moment when first time I heard your heart bit, my dear little one! I was thrilled, but felt very happy that I was  going to be a part of those fortunate women, who can create a life! Slowly and steadily I was attached with you. In every moment I was talking to you, to welcome you in my and mine hubby's life! Then the most awaited day came.... I could hear your voice,  see you and  touch you sweet heart! It was Sep 22nd 2005, you made your debute on this earth's platform and became a part of our life. Your dad was so worried about you. He was on walker, couldn't  walk properly. Even though he went to temple to pray for you, my child. Then the moment came -  you felt secured in mine warm arms. You were attached to me  before coming on this earth! I can still feel those unforgetable moments -  when first you looked at me, hold my...
