An Experience with nature - I

A night in the deep jungle of mountain

I was walking alone through the deep blue jungle. It was a full moon night and the jungle was awesome in the moonlight; I was astonished watching the dark beauty of the jungle.
A trekking camp was conducted by the Assam Mountaineering Association to Jithang, a base camp of the Garishion peak of Arunachal Himalaya Mountain Range in the month of October in 1996.  In a beautiful morning we started our journey to Tezpur, from where we would go to Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh to start our trekking expedition to Jithang. We were 15 members, our Team Leader and senior member Sh. Kishor Baruah, Dy. Leader Sh. Lalit Rabha, senior member Sh. Pulak Mahanta, senior member Ms. Bhumika Talukder, senoir member Ratan Basumatary, Rupak, Bipul, Sanjeev, Hiranmayee, Ramesh, our friend late Amar, Babita, Jeuti and myself along with our cook Daju.
We reached Tezpur in the afternoon. Tezpur is a historical and mythological place of Assam. In mythology, it is said that princess of Tezpur (Sunitpur), Usha was fall in love with Anirudha, the grandson of Lord Krishna. So Anirudha was kidnapped to Tezpur by a friend of Princes Usha. But when King knew about their love story, he arrested Prince Anirudha. Then Lord Krishna came with his army to free Anirudha.
After having lunch, we went to Agnigarh, palace of King Baan. We enjoyed the beautiful view of Brahmaputra River from Agnigarh. The sunset view was a memorable moment in my life! Next day evening we moved to Tawang District. In the morning we reached Jung, from where we were supposed to start our expedition. Jung is a historical place in Arunachal Pradesh. This is the place where during the Indo-China war in 1962, our Indian Army fought bravely with our enemy.
The day after, we started our trekking expedition to Jithang. Our first destination was Broxer. After having breakfast we moved towards Broxer. It was a beautiful shinny morning! I was on full energy and enjoying the views on my way. But after lunch time, I was slow in walking. I felt tired and wanted to take rest for some time. But our team leader told me, we had to reach our destination by the evening. So slowly I kept walking. All my team members had already reached our destination. Slowly it became dark. It was a full moon night and the jungle looked beautiful. I had never seen this scene in my life before! Though I was too late to reach my destination, I forgot everything. Tried to enjoy those awesome moments in jungle in the moonlight!
At last, I could be able to reach Broxer – our destination. My friends Sanjeev and Ramesh had come towards me for help. Everybody was waiting for me and cheered me when I reached. But as I was too tired to say any word, only I could give them a smile. I slept early that night because next day we had to go on most tough trek – our next destination was Thimbu.
To be continue.

STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!

Stop!!! Violence against women is a worldwide problem that affects women of all ages, ethnicities, races, nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. Some forms of violence are gender-based and impact women more disproportionately, such as domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, human trafficking, child abusement and acid attack. Beside these, Indian society is facing two more major violences against women Girl child foeticide and dowry demands.  It is very shameful to say that this society is not safe for females even in this 21st century. Somewhere, little young girls are molested by some sick minded people; somewhere 80 years old lady has to be treated very badly; somewhere if a girl wants to protest against eve teasing she has to be a victim of acid attack. It is seen that some people being upset on the birth of a girl child in thei5r family and the same people look for little young girls to worship on the days of NAVRATRAs. Girl child foeticide, ...

My Friendship day with my Friends in Faridabad

Sunday, August 01, 2010 I met lot of girls in Faridabad but some of them kept an wide impact on me. They are – three kashimiri girls – Nilima, Priya and Rashi.  We used to call them together Mission Kashmir😊😁Mousumi, Neha and Deepti– 3 idiots!😎😎🤩 Last but not the least most important 2 genius – Gunjan and Tapasya. All of them had different natures but one thing was in common that they all were innocent and clear hearted. There liveliness and fun loving natures taught me to live my life with my present and not with my past. Once again I started to live a carefree life with full of confidence! Great!😎🤩 This is a story about when we all planned our first ‘Friendship day’ together except Gunjan. Mousumi, Deepti and Neha planned first how to enjoy the day. They suggested us to go the Badkal Lake – a tourist spot in Faridabad. Everyone liked their plan. We took permission from the head of our institute Mrs. Jain. Till then everything was going smoothly and all were ha...

Why Cann't We be Satisfy With Our Lives!

I visited a village in Arunachal Pradesh. A very remote area in Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh. There was limited facilities in that area. There were no communication mediums, no market or shops, no transport, not enough education facility and not even medical facilities. People had to walk miles of mountain path to get there minimal needs. So there was less value of money; strangely we discovered exchange system!  'Strangely' I am using this word because I had never seen such exchange system before nor I have seen ever afterwards. There were very populations in that village. Education system was so poor that children even didn't know the name of their nation; not even name of their Chief Minister or the Prime Minister of their nation!! Obviously these information seemed useless for their lives. But I found that people didn't have any complain about their lifestyles or against the system. There were happy with what they were getting in lives. I was y...
